Readmission Requirements
Readmission Requirements
What is a readmit student?
A readmit student is a student who previously attended Western Kentucky University and has sat out for three or more semesters and now wishes to return.
Readmit Students Without Transfer Credit
Readmission students must have a minimum GPA of "C" (2.0 on 4.0 unweighted scale) for the last semester or term of full-time work, and have a cumulative GPA of "C" (2.0 on 4.0 unweighted scale) to be readmitted in good standing. Students not meeting this GPA standard may be admitted on academic probation. Fulfillment of minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.
Readmit Students Who Attended Another School
Readmission students with transfer work from other accredited colleges should request that official transcripts be mailed to the Office of Admissions from each college attended. An official transcript is typically sent from one institution to another in a sealed envelope for the receiving institution to open upon arrival, or through an official electronic transcript exchange. In order to provide more accurate information and better service to prospective transfer students, a General Education Transfer Report will be made available (usually within 14 working days) after they are admitted to the University. This is done to help ensure that all official transcripts are received and evaluated properly and that the transfer student is admitted to the University. You may also view your General Education Transfer Report along with any updated transfer information online at WKU TopNet.

Readmission students with fewer than 24 hours earned are required to have completed the pre-college curriculum. Please use the Transfer Credit Equivalency Website to see how your courses will transfer to WKU.
