Scholarship Opportunities
Wells Fargo Military Support Scholarship
A $600 scholarship will be available for the upcoming year, split equally between the fall and spring semesters.
Eligibility:
Students must meet the following military criteria to apply for the scholarship.
- Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard, Veteran, or military dependent of active duty or veteran
- Enrolled in a program of undergraduate study, or be enrolled in a graduate program or doctoral program with at least one full year remaining until graduation
- Applicants must complete an online WKU TOPDollar scholarship application prior to the published deadline each year and have a current FAFSA on file
- Recipient must possess the personal qualities of character, integrity, dependability, and industriousness and human compassion which produce leaders and merit the honor of this award.
How to Apply:
Provide a brief letter that is four to six well written paragraphs in length, introducing yourself. Discuss how you meet the eligibility criteria listed above, and how this scholarship will help you fulfill your educational goals. If you have any volunteer or community outreach experience, please mention that as well.

Recognition Cords for Graduation
Military and Veteran students graduating, as well as Faculty/Staff participating in graduation ceremonies are all eligible to wear the red, white and blue honor cords.
How to get your cords.
1. If you are local, you may pick up your cord from our office in Gary Ransdell Hall, room 2052, beginning around grad fair week. ROTC cadets who will be commissioning will get their cords from the WKU ROTC program.
2. If you are not local and will be ordering your regalia through the WKU Store, they should include a set of the military recognition cords for you, in your package. If for some reason you do not get a set, please contact us at military@wku.edu .
