Exams
Independent Learning courses require proctored examinations. To receive credit for an Independent Learning course, the student must complete a supervised final examination after all assignments have been received by Independent Learning and before the course expiration date.
Depending on the course a student is enrolled in, retake exams may be required to replace any failed exam attempts. If a student retakes an exam, a fee will apply.
It is the responsibility of the student to make arrangements with the center at which the exam will be supervised before you submit the exam request form. This request must be received by our office AFTER you submitted all assignments prior to that exam.
Please allow adequate time for the exam application to reach us, be processed, and be mailed to the examination site when requesting that exams be mailed to other campuses.
Be prepared to show a valid photo ID before taking your exam at any proctored location. Valid forms of ID include WKU Student ID, state issued driver’s license, passport or military photo ID.
What type of exam do you want to register for?
NOTE: If you wish to have your exam proctored at a site not on the list of pre-approved proctors (including a site in another country), you will need to make arrangements with a local community college or university.
