A Guide to Working with Coporations and Foundations: A Resource for Faculty/Staff
- Establishes strategic partnerships with corporations to create mutually beneficial relationships between businesses and industries and Western Kentucky University.
These alliances build upon complementary strengths and needs in recruitment/hiring, financial aid for students, internship opportunities, research collaborations, faculty/business consultations, lectureships, and technology transfer.
- Opens portals to the University by providing corporations with access to exemplary faculty and students, and cutting-edge technologies. Through scholarships, fellowships, faculty chairs, capital improvements and facilities, program and research grants, equipment, in-kind gifts, and employee matching gift programs, businesses have the opportunity to provide Western students with a quality educational experience.
- Welcomes corporate sponsorship of academic activities such as symposia or colloquia, events or exhibits at the Kentucky Museum and University Libraries, the performing arts, public broadcasting and athletic events.
