How much does it cost to attend the Gatton Academy?

Very little.  The Gatton Academy, which is generously funded by the Kentucky General Assembly, provides tuition, housing, and meals for all students. You will be responsible for your books, travel expenses, and any incidentals. The cost of books is estimated between $250 and $500 per semester.  Additionally, many of the students' sending high schools assist with part or all of the cost of books.

No student is turned away because of financial hardship.

The Gatton Academy will offer you the opportunity to receive at least 60 hours of college credit and a high school diploma. You will have university professors teaching classes that will allow you to work to your ability. You will have the opportunity to take classes focusing on various STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) subjects. Your interest and ability in math and science will be supplemented with opportunities for research during the academic year as well as in the summer. Additionally, you will encounter a broad range of academic experiences in the humanities, languages, and social sciences. You will live with other Gatton Academy students in Schneider Hall, providing opportunities for meaningful relationships with social and academic peers.

We truly believe the Gatton Academy should be an opportunity for any Kentucky student who qualifies regardless of financial background.
