Bio

Lynn M. Hazlett-Sherry holds a Baccalaureate degree, double major in Psychology and Sociology, and a Master of Social Work degree both from Western Kentucky University. She is also a Certified Social Worker licensed in the State of Kentucky.

She has worked as Academic Advisor in the College of Health & Human Services since 2008. Her first role with advising was as the Coordinator of the Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) and in her current role as the Director of Student Academic Services in CHHS. Lynn advises all CHHS students who are exploratory or pursuing admission into selective admission or pre-programs (Communication Disorders, Dental Hygiene, Exercise Science, Health Care Administration, Nursing, Public Health, Social Work and Sport Management).

She is chair of the CHHS Advising Committee, has served on other University committees, attends professional conferences, and attends CEU’s for her Social Work license. Lynn recently was awarded a Certificate of Merit from the National Academic Advising Association, the professional organization for Academic Advisors.
