As a social worker, Marybeth Hunt has long had a passion for working with older adults. Marybeth received her Bachelor of Social Work degree (2006) and her Master of Social Work degree (2013) from Western Kentucky University. She is also licensed as a Certified Social Worker in Kentucky. As an undergraduate, Marybeth also minored in gerontology to prepare her for a career in the field of aging. This career includes work as a case manager for older adults receiving in-home services and most recently as a long-term care ombudsman. As an ombudsman, Marybeth has gained knowledge of the long-term care system in Kentucky as well as issues facing those in long-term care settings. Marybeth is excited to be part of the WKU Aging team in her position as Coordinator of Community Outreach and Advising.
