Early Childhood Education Associates Receives Accreditation
The Applied Human Sciences department is pleased to announce it has received notification that the Early Childhood Education Associate degree has earned accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). According to the NAEYC website, accreditation provides an external evaluation of higher education programs to help ensure that early childhood educators provide all young children equitable access to developmentally appropriate, high-quality early learning.
The stated Mission of NAEYC is to promote, "... high-quality early learning for all children, birth through age 8, by connecting practice, policy and research. We advance a diverse, dynamic early childhood profession and support all who care for, educate, and work on behalf of young children."
