Empowering families and preventing child abuse by providing education, social support,
crisis intervention, and a safe environment for children and their families. Services
include Wee Care Nursery, Parent Education, Supervised Visitation Program, Adoption
Resource Center, Parents as Teachers, Respite Child Care, parent support groups, and
child abuse community awareness. Wee Care Nursery also provides free, Respite/drop-in
childcare as space is available. Respite care is a free service to those who are receiving
services from the Department for Community Based Services experiencing a crisis and
those who are in the Foster Program. There is a sliding scale fee for those not referred
by an approved agency or meet program criteria.

Provides a place to stay and stabilize circumstances, emotions, and/or chemistry for
people with severe mental illness such as depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders,
schizophrenia, and other serious and chronic mental illness. Professionals work together
with and encourage consumers and family members to resolve issues and situations that
may have contributed to the crisis. Services are provided in a supportive environment
without leaving the community or entering a hospital. Each resident is evaluated by
mental health professionals and is involved in the development of his or her own personal
treatment plan.

Provide a 24-hour crisis stabilization program for child mental health clientele ages
7 to 17 in a very informal, non-threatening environment.

The Park Place Recovery Center is a 14 to 28 day residential, 20 bed, co-ed treatment
facility where women and men are housed separately. It offers non-medical detox services,
psychotherapy, parenting and educational groups, individual counseling, medical lectures,
gender-specific, 12-step groups and after care services. An assessment fee of $50
is charged. Park Place is open to all residents of the 10-county area. Other Kentucky
State residents will be admitted with a referral.

Lifeskills TFC program is designed to provide care for children who have complex emotional
needs requiring special parenting skills. Children placed in TFC homes can include
boys or girls of any age and race. They may have had relationship problems in the
community, in their families, or in school. Many are victims of neglect: social, physical,
emotional or sexual abuse. They are in need of quality foster care in order to prevent
placement in a residential facility or psychiatric hospital.

Needy Children of Warren County Fund, Inc. is a non-profit organization helping needy
children in Warren County with necessities such as coats, school supplies, clothing
and other basic needs. At Christmas we provide a Christmas Party with dinner and presents
for referred children, money donations are appreciated to facilitate this project.
Potter Children's Home and Family Ministries

Potter Children's Home provides several services to children and families in need.
All referrals are private and no fees are charged for services. On campus foster care
(children 6-18 years old), Single Parent Alliance for Raising Kids family ministry,
Transitional Living (serves young people 18-23 years), foster care, adoption, and
Christian counseling. Our mission is to be a tool in the hands of supporting Churches
of Christ and individual Christians to deliver God's justice and mercy to children
and families in need.

Pregnancy Support Center provides pregnancy testing with positive referrals, help
with maternity clothes, parenting training, baby showers, counseling, breastfeeding
classes and educational information.

your company newsletter or bulletin boards • Provide enhanced referrals to help your
employees find dependable and high quality child care • Assist you with setting up
a company child care program or building partnerships with existing child care programs.
For our communities we: • Gather information about child care needs and resources.
• Collaborate with other agencies by serving on committees and boards, including announcements
in our newsletter or web page, connecting parents and professionals to the right agency
for services, and co-sponsoring events. • Provide information about how to start a
child care business. • Submit early care and education related articles to newspapers
and newsletters • Create early care and education related public service announcements.
