Service Description: The mission of the Brain Injury Association of Kentucky is to serve those affected by brain injury through advocacy, education, prevention, research, service and support. Referral to the First Contact Brain Injury Network can come from hospital staff, family members, friends or others who believe the family and individual with a brain injury need support. Families give permission for a First Contact staff member to make an initial visit during which the family is given information about the program and about brain injury, services and supports.
