Service Description: Provide activities and services designed to aid in the social and nutritional well being of our senior citizens age 60 and older. Meals, transportation, recreation, health, nutrition and enrichment activities. Volunteer Opportunities: Home Delivered Meals preparation and cleanup: 3 volunteers* are needed daily, Monday-Friday, from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. (*Individual can volunteer one day per week or all five days). The responsibility of this service includes daily preparation of home delivered meals which involves plating meal and preparing/packing containers for meal/beverage delivery. After all meals have left for delivery, the volunteers will also be responsible for area cleanup which involves cleaning of steam table, washing pans/utensils, and mopping floor in food preparation area. Training on correct meal preparation/cleanup will be provided. Volunteers will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement and allow us to do a criminal records check. 4 volunteers* are needed daily, Monday-Friday, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., rain or shine. (*Individual can volunteer one day per week or all five days). These volunteers will ride with the meal delivery drivers with the understanding that the volunteer will be getting in and out of the van to deliver the meal to the recipients door. Volunteers will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement and allow us to do a criminal records check.
