Service Description: Voluntary program for city section 8 tenants designed to help them leave welfare or low-paying jobs and become self-sufficient through adequate employment. When an FSS participant has increased their earned income, the money Section 8 previously used for them towards rent will go into a savings account for that participant. Activities include studying for GED, training programs or post-secondary education, money management, employability skills, and home ownership workshops, job searches, cleaning up credit reports, and monthly budgeting
