Service Description: After School Learning Center for youth residing in and around public housing in grades K-12. Services include tutoring, mentoring, improvement of Math, Reading, and Language Skills with educational, cultural, and recreational activities. Youth Sports Program includes basketball, flag football, soccer, swimming, softball, and cheerleading
Housing Authority of Bowling Green at their Learning Center needs volunteers to tutor children with reading at one of the five Learning Centers in Bowling Green. Volunteers can choose one day a week between Monday through Thursday to read with a child. Volunteers are expected to meet with their reading buddy once a week at the assigned Learning Center. Volunteers need to be graduated from high school. For more information contact Donna Workman, Program Coordinator at 270-843-6071.
