Service Description: WCCPA consists of community agencies and individuals who are interested in addressing physical activity issues. WCCPA has developed several projects to make it easy for the community to learn about and participate in a variety of activities. WCCPA and Warren County Parks & Recreation sponsor The Block Party, held annually in early summer, at Delafield Community Center. With an attendance of over 200 adults and children, WCCCPA invites physical activity and wellness exhibitors to present information, health screenings, and activities to a primarily African-American community. WCCPA also sponsors a Poker Walk, a ¾ mile walk that enables participants to be eligible for prizes. The Physical Activity Resource Guide is a complete guide to physical and recreational activities in Warren County. The guide lists area park activities, businesses, churches, and agencies that offer health and fitness opportunities, as well as articles on active living.
