We are excited you are interested in pursuing a degree at WKU in the AMS field and becoming a Hilltopper! We know you have many questions. Please find a listing of frequently requested services below. Please make sure to fill out the Interested Student Form to the right to receive information from the Department. Admission to WKU

Academic Transitions Program (ATP) - New Student Orientation

The Academic Transitions Program is a required one-day orientation that offers students informational sessions, meet the dean, class registration, parent programs, academic advising, and more.


Campus Safety

WKU strives to provide a safe and secure environment for our campus community. From the WKU Campus Police and Emergency Alert System, to the Campus Escort Service and no-tolerance policies, you may find it all here.


Financial Aid for Students

AMS Student Organizations

Students are encouraged to participate in student organizations and extracurricular activities on campus and in the community. The AMS Department is affiliated with several professional organizations that help prepare students for future employment and real-world work issues. The departmental activities are fun and vary in purpose, from relaxation to helping in the community.

Tutoring at The Learning Center (TLC)

At TLC, WKU undergraduate students provide free peer-to-peer course specific tutoring. In addition to tutoring course specific content, TLC offers assistance with academic skill areas such as note taking, time management, test taking skills, etc. TLC is also host to a number of other programs and services including: The Academic Advantage Series: Workshops for Success, Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS), a 32 machine Dell computer lab for academic projects only, and black & white printing.
