Dr. Claire Rinehart, from the Department of Biology, is the director of the Bioinformatics and Information Science Center (BISC). Dr. Rinehart earned his Ph.D. from the University of Georgia and B.S. and M.S. degrees from Brigham Young University. He was the founding director of the Biotechnology Center and later served as co–director. He uses informatics to solve problems in protein structure and formation.
