- Tuesday, January 24th, 2012
WKU’s Office of Study Abroad and Global Learning has signed an agreement with International Student Exchange Programs to diversify study abroad opportunities.
“ISEP offers our students a strong immersion experience that allows them to interact with local students,” SAGL Director Thomas Millington said. “I especially like the fact that they have many offerings for students in the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) disciplines.”
As direct members, WKU will be able to send students to the following countries through ISEP: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Botswana, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Estonia, Fiji, France, Germany, Ghana, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, South Africa, Spain, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and Uruguay, Millington said.
“One of our goals is to send more students to Africa and the Middle East,” he said. “Our partnership with ISEP will allow us to do this.”
ISEP, the first global student exchange consortium, is a worldwide network of more than 300 higher education institutions in 50 countries cooperating to provide affordable access to international education for a diverse student population.
