What is the Job Fair:

It is most simply the most important career related networking event of the Spring semester. We partner with over 60 organizations to provide interested students or alumni an opportunity to interface with employers looking for the best talent WKU has to offer.

 

When and Where?

Wednesday, March 20, 2013, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. DSU 2001, WKU Main Campus, Bowling Green, KY

 

Who's coming to the Event?

Businesses, government agencies, and school systems seeking staff for their own organizations, employment/staffing agencies, organizations providing a product or service distributorships, and representatives from graduate and professional schools. For a list of employers, click here.

 

Who's looking for what?

Recruiters may be looking for part-time, co-op/intern, summer, and permanent employees or potential graduate students. The event is also a great time to explore and discuss career options with recruiters. They may be able to provide you with suggestions about classes to take to make you more marketable upon graduation.

 

What should I bring?

Bring your WKU ID for event entry, and if you're job hunting, bring ample copies of your current resume to provide to recruiters. If you need resume help, contact the Center for Career and Professional Development for assistance or view resume information at the CCPD website by clicking here.

 

How should I dress?

Image isn't everything but it's a lot. Business professional or business casual attire is best. (Business suits, slacks with shirt and tie, pant or skirt outfits, dresses).

 

Will I get an interview?

Generally, the job fair provides an initial contact with an organization. Formal interviews may be scheduled at a later date.
