How did I get here?
Hello and welcome!! I first came to “The Hill” in the fall of 1987. Like most college students, I changed my major, had several majors I wanted to try (some I liked and some I didn’t) and knew I wanted to work in an office somewhere.
Shortly after I started college, I secured my first job as a student worker in the Sociology Department. Before I graduated, I had to decide whether to continue with classes or get a job, so I thought I would work for a while. In the fall of 1992, I started full-time at WKU and returned to school and completed my degree in Office Systems Technology in 1995.
What are my responsibilities?
Once of my many “hats” I wear is staffing the main office of the Career Services Center with our friendly Student Office Assistants. They will greet you with a smile and direct you to the appropriate staff member. In addition to my other responsibilities, I oversee the front office operations, work closely with the director and associate directors in keeping the office afloat in the day-to-day operations, and I’m the “go to” person for knowledge of the office and University.
Now the fun stuff
Most of my weekends are busy singing, playing, and traveling with a local gospel group from Bowling Green, KY. I like to cook, travel, and organize events.
Please feel free to drop by the office, e-mail, or call and we be happy to assist you.
