FACS Alumni Wins Raffled WKU Logo Quilt
|Date: Thursday, November 1st, 2012||Return|
The winner of the Western Kentucky University Logo quilt raffled at the end of Homecoming 2012 was Betty Chelf Coles. Betty is an alumnus of the Family and Consumer Sciences Department (FACS) with degrees in 1953 and 1970. She is shown with the quilt and Dr. Martha Combs Jenkins, a 1959 graduate, Professor Emeritus of the department, and active member of the FACS Alumni Association. The group did so well raffling a WKU quilt last year that they decided to do a raffle again this year. Proceeds from both raffles benefit scholarships/awards for students enrolled in programs in the FACS Department.
