Bio

Mittie is the Visiting Minority Scholar in the Department of Communication.  She received a B.S. in Marketing from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee, a Master of Divinity from Memphis Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. from the University of Memphis.  Additionally, Mittie held several corporate positions prior to entering the professoriate, including corporate chaplain in the hotel and foodservice industries and director and manager of telecommunications for several major corporations.
