ORI Updates

Due to WKU's Winter Break closure from December 14, 2026, through January 1, 2027, the Office of Research Integrity (ORI) has established the following deadline for IRB applications:

IRB applications for new projects must be submitted by noon on Monday, December 7, 2026, to be reviewed for approvalprior to Winter Break. Applications submitted after this deadline will be reviewed upon the university's return from the break.

ORI will continue to review amendments and continuing review submissions through December 13, 2026. Please note that final approval may not be issued until after Winter Break.

2027 Conflict of Interest Disclosures are now open for submission. If you will be going into calendar year 2027 with an active grant, or plan to submit a grant within the year, please submit your disclosure in IRBNet by 12/31/2026. About COI

Beginning October 1st, all human subjects applications will need to be submitted using only the most recent form versions, updated August 2026. Please see the IRB Page or IRBNet to download the newest forms. All other versions will be returned to the PI.
