Bio

Dr. Kline completed his B.A. in Psychology and Sociology and his M.A. in Community Counseling at the University of Mississippi. He earned his Ph.D. in Counseling at the University of Michigan. He has counseled in a variety of inpatient and private practice settings. Research interests have included the use of qualitative methods to explore counselor supervision,  group therapy leadership, and counselor development. His teaching experience focused on qualitative research, group counseling and therapy, and counseling skills development. The Association for Specialists in Group Work named Dr. Kline a Fellow and awarded him the Eminent Career Award.  Dr. Kline and co-authors have been given 4 publication awards in the area of group work. Finally, Dr. Kline served as Editor for Counselor Education and Supervision.
