Course: Recognizing the Signs of Suicide

Session Format:

One 2-hour session

Introduction

This course is intended to address the training needs of those on the front lines of suicide prevention. The course incorporates the question, persuade and refer (QPR) best-practice model of gatekeeper training developed by Spokane-based QPR Institute.

Objectives

The participant will learn to 1) recognize the warning signs of suicide, 2) how to find help for someone that is suicidal 3) and how to convince someone that is suicidal to get help

Who Should Attend

This seminar is intended for supervisors, managers, human resource managers and mid-level managers who have responsibilities for directing and managing people.
