Biography:
Dr. Michael Putnam, an Associate Professor of Educational Administration, Leadership, and Research at Western Kentucky University, currently teaches PK-12 administration courses. He spent sixteen years as a PK-12 school administrator and twelve years as a secondary English teacher in the state of Mississippi prior to obtaining his PhD in Educational Administration. During his secondary career, he won national, regional, and local awards for his service to the education community. A recent graduate assistant at The University of Mississippi Department of Educational Leadership and Counseling, he was responsible for the clinical supervision of all administrator interns, a member of the entrance selection committee for all educational administration candidates, and participated in all Masters and Specialists level Oral Exams. During his course of studies, he was an educational consultant for the North Mississippi Education Consortium housed on the Ole Miss campus and provided educational assistance to the differing needs of school districts.
