Fire & Life Safety Training Day

Thursday, September 9 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Behind DSU on Centennial Mall

Campus Fire Safety Month is a nationwide effort to raise fire and life safety awareness on campus. August and September are typically the worst time of year for fatal campus-related housing fires. Unfortunately, most college students do not realize how quickly a fire can occur and most have not received fire safety education since elementary school. Here at WKU, members of the Office of the University Fire Marshal have already completed fire and life safety training for all hall directors and residential assistants.

At our Fire & Life Safety Training Day, students can learn how to use a fire extinguisher and travel through a smoke-filled trailer simulator. Come learn how to stay safe and avoid fires on campus! The first 400 WKU Students that complete our program will receive a Campus Fire Safety T-shirt!
