Recruitment is essential and should strive to notify individuals and groups of all backgrounds about a position vacancy. A good tool for recruitment is for each Search Committee member to contact 1 female and 1 minority (any individual who self-identifies as Hispanic or Latino, American Indian or Alaskan Native, Asian, Black/African American, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander) who may be qualified. Once the job announcement is approved by the EAU office, the document can be communicated through methods such as the WKU Human Resources Department, conferences, listserves, newspapers, magazines, email, Facebook, Twitter and to other universities.
