Julia Driver

Julia Driver is Professor of Philosophy at Washington University in St. Louis. She received her Ph.D. from the Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Driver specializes in normative ethical theory, moral psychology, and Humean accounts of moral agency. She is the author of Uneasy Virtue (Cambridge, 2001), Ethics: the Fundamentals (Blackwell, 2006), and Consequentialism (Routledge, 2012).

Dr. Driver has published articles in Journal of Philosophy, Australasian Journal of Philosophy, Philosophy, Ethics, Nous, Philosophy & Phenomenological Research, amongst other journals. She has received a Laurance S. Rockefeller Fellowship from Princeton University, a Young Scholar's Award from Cornell University's Program on Ethics and Public Life, and an NEH Fellowship.

John Doris

John Doris is Professor in the Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology Program and Philosophy Department, Washington University in St. Louis. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. His research is located at the intersection of psychology, cognitive science, and philosophical ethics.

Dr. Doris has authored or coauthored papers for such venues as Bioethics, Cognition, Noûs, Philosophy and Phenomenological Research, The Encyclopedia of Cognitive Science, and the Oxford Handbook of Contemporary Philosophy. His current research involves both theoretical and empirical research on moral responsibility, evaluative diversity, psychopathology, and the self. He has also been the recipient of numerous awards, most recently being the Autonomy-Singularity-Creativity Fellowship through the National Humanities Center.
