The Kentucky Folklife Archives, 2010

The Folklife Archive at the Kentucky Library is a collection of papers and research donated by students and faculty from the Folk Studies program.  Interning at in the folklife archive at the Kentucky Library was a very positive experience.  Most of my time was spent working on the creation of finding aids for the collection and editing existing finding aids.  I enjoyed learning about the work that goes into processing and cataloging collections and seeing how much material is available in the archive.  I would recommend working at the folklife archive to students who are interested in learning more about library work and how their research could be made available to future folklorists.
