Bio
B. S. in Education & Dance from WKU, 1978; M.A. in Experimental Psychology from WKU, 2011
With a background in education and the humanities, I returned to university as a non-traditional student and, in an effort to deepen my understanding of human nature and its relationship to religion and science, began studying philosophy and psychology. I earned a Master’s degree in experimental psychology from WKU in 2011.
Teaching Interests
I have a broad range of academic interests and I enjoy the breadth of topics that introductory classes entail. In addition, I believe that these courses provide students an imperative interface with the world of science. While all of my classes contain a proper dose of behavioral neuroscience, PSY 480 allows upper-level students the opportunity to study the topic in depth and participate in brain dissection labs. Human development, how we learn, what we remember, and why we believe what we believe are additional teaching interests.
