Science Curiosity Investigation summer camp 2013
During the summer of 2013 students sought out the definition of Life, conditions necessary for life, where life might be found in the Solar System and beyond, and imagined worlds where aliens of unusual nature might reside.
SCI Summer 2013 campers ponder and design appropriate imaginary
habitable worlds around distant stars they have been assigned,
taking into account the size of the star, its brightness, color, and potential for planets.
Brant Beverly is hard at work creating a working drawing of the imaginary alien creature
he believes could exist on the habitable world he has created around a distant star.
Campers attempt to justify to Ogden College of Science Dean Cheryl Stevens and astronomy
Professor Richard Gelderman
why they think their alien could inhabit the imaginary planet they have designed.
