WKUHS Clinical Services
Health Services offers comprehensive medical services to students, faculty, staff and all members of the WKU community. University staff and faculty (and their dependents) are eligible to use Health Services. Patients will be asked to provide primary health insurance coverage at the time of services. Health Services uses a fee-for-service schedule so charges are billed to your primary insurance plan as a courtesy; patients are responsible for any remaining balance.
**Health Services currently is unable to accept Medicare or Medicaid or any State Medicaid Insurance Plan.**

Physicals
Physicals are offered by appointment only. General physical exams are available for
pre-employment, school, sports, and CDLs. WKUHS can also provide your annual comprehensive
physical. Departments that require physicals at WKUHS include: Teacher Education,
Nursing, Athletics, ICSET, ROTC, Agriculture, Facilities Management and Peace Corp.
Prescriptions
If you need a prescription and have not been seen by one of our providers, you will
need to schedule an appointment. The provider will then e-prescribe your prescription
to the pharmacy of your choice. If you need to refill a prescription, please call
(270) 745-5641, press option #3 and provide specific information regarding your refill.
A follow up visit may be necessary to refill your prescription.
Sports Medicine
Sports medicine visits are for anyone who is physically active. Providers are available
to treat injuries, and refer patients to a specialist if needed.
Pulmonary Function Testing
Test that measure breathing capacity and other pulmonary functions are available for
screening and diagnostic purposes.
ECG
An electrocardiogram, which measure the electrical activity of the heart is available
for diagnostic purposes.
