Studying Abroad is a decision that takes careful thought and consideration, but virtually every student can fit it into their schedule. There are several things to look for when choosing your program:
Some programs offer general education courses, making them easy to fit into your schedule, especially early on in college. Other programs are specific to certain majors, while others offer just one class. Make sure the program you choose will be beneficial to your educational career. A list of Harlaxton course offerings for certain future semesters is available here (link to /sab/courseinformation)
Sometimes students know exactly where they want to study abroad, while others begin searching with no idea. Once you find a program that fits with your field of study or offers general education classes you need, make sure you want to spend time in that place. You will become immersed in the culture, meet natives, and might want to visit again in the future.
After you find the perfect program and location, check out the financial requirements and begin applying for both WKU travel abroad scholarships and external travel abroad scholarships. Any student who is interested in studying abroad can make it happen, and the Honors College is here to help you every step of the way.
