Thanksgiving Closedown

The residence halls* will close on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Noon.

The lobby cores will be changed and no one will be allowed into the halls after Noon on Wednesday. Please make sure you follow closedown procedures in your room before you leave for the break.

The halls will open on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.

 

Procedures for Bates Runner Hall, Douglas Keen Hall, Gilbert Hall, McCormack Hall, Mclean Hall, Meredith Hall, Northeast Hall, Rodes Harlin Hall, Southwest Hall, and Zacharias Hall:

1. Throw away all trash
2. Wash dishes
3. Unplug everything except the refrigerator
4. Set room temperature on 65 degrees and the fan speed in auto mode
5. Close and lock windows
6. Turn off room lights
7. Lock your door

 

Procedures for Bemis Lawrence Hall, Barnes Campbell Hall, Hugh Poland Hall, and Minton Hall:

1. Throw away all trash
2. Wash Dishes
3. Unplug everything except the refrigerator
4. Set room temperature at halfway between blue and red with the fan speed on low
5. Close and lock windows
6. Turn off room lights
7. Lock your door

 

Procedures for Pearce Ford Tower:

*PFT will remain open during the Thanksgiving Break. The building will be relatively empty so please take these precautions to ensure your room is safe and secure.

1. Throw away all trash
2. Wash dishes
3. Unplug everything except the refrigerator
4. Set room temperature on 65 degrees and fan speed in auto mode
5. Close and lock windows
6. Turn off room lights
7. Lock your door
