About Pearce Ford Tower
All Female Residence Hall
Open to Freshmen - Upperclassmen
Pearce Ford Tower (PFT) is a 27 story, female residence hall located on the south end of campus housing 857 students. This landmark hall was built in 1970 and is the tallest residence hall in Kentucky. PFT was completely renovated in 2009. The 27th floor houses a satellite Learning Center and entertainment area featuring two TV lounges, ping pong tables, pool tables, and Foosball.
PFT is home to a unique Living Learning Community that will greatly benefit students during their college career and beyond. During their experience, students will:
Have the opportunity to build a strong, supportive community through weekly "family groups" that consist of their floormates - these are designed to give you a solid support system during the year. Students will have fun, develop lasting friendships, and will have a group to lean on.
Customize their floor through interactive displays and memory making areas.
Live on a floor with other students who are in the same academic college. Study groups, collaboration, and support will be right across the hallway.
This hall closes during Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring breaks. If you need to stay on campus during those times, please apply for Bemis Lawrence Hall, Northeast Hall, or Bates Runner Hall and list "extended living" as your most important preference.
