PTS to Offer New Late Night Safe Ride (click here for more)

Developed in partnership with SGA and Student Affairs, Parking and Transportation Services is bringing back the “safe ride home” transit service.  The intent of the new Purple Line is to reduce drinking and driving.  Service will begin on Thursday, August 23rd.

The Purple Line will be a fixed route service that will run every 15 minutes from 10:00 pm – 2:00 am Thursday through Saturday during the Fall and Spring semesters while classes are in session.  The route serves main campus, downtown Bowling Green, and off-campus student housing areas along Chestnut Street, Creason Drive, Campbell Lane, and Patton Way.

The late night transit service was a high demand request in our February 2012 campus survey of students.  Parking and Transportation Services continues to make improvements that we hope will be utilized and beneficial for our students.
