Sunday, September 29th
6:00am - 10:30pm
  • Location: Fitness Center
  • Time: 6:00am - 10:30pm

Do you have big fitness or weight-loss goals this semester? Start it off right by participating in the September Muscle of the Month Challenge. An Elliptical provides great cardiovascular exercise, targeting major muscle groups of the lower and upper body. Cardiovascular exercise promotes a healthy heart, lungs, and vascular system. Start this semester by challenging yourself. Complete as many miles as possible on any Elliptical in the Fitness Center!

 Rules:

  • Notify a FC Attendant before you begin
  • Use any Elliptical in the Fitness Center
  • Treadmills, bikes, and the track do not count for this challenge
  • When you finish, alert a FC Attendant to record your miles on the MOM board (full miles only)
  • Participate as many times as you can
  • The winner will be the person who completes the most miles throughout the month of April
  • Preston Center employees will be in their own category, separate from everyone else
  • The male and female who complete the most miles will win a $15 Walmart Gift Card
  • Each time you participate, your name will be entered into a raffle for one of two $10 Walmart Gift Cards
  • Participate at least twice in the month to receive WellU® credit

Check out one of our 29” FUJI mountain bikes and join us as we head downtown to ride Bowling Green’s new mountain bike trail in Weldon Pete Park.  Bring your own bike or rent one of ours for $5.  Ride time will be between 2-4 hours depending on daylight and time available.  Snacks, dinner or local Bowling Green attractions may also be included in this event.  This information will be shared at start of event.

Compete in this timed event to test your cardiovascular and lower body muscular endurance. Cardiovascular exercise promotes a healthy heart, lungs, and vascular system. Challenge yourself to new heights this October, compete in the Box Challenge this month and you may be a winner!

  • Complete as many Box Jumps as you can in one minute, stepping up is optional. Use 18 inch box (shortest box).
  • Preston Center employees will be in their own category, separate from patrons.
  • Participants can only complete the challenge one time per day.

  • Each time you participate, your name will be entered into a raffle for a $10 Buckhead Café Gift Card.

Join us for Fall Break on the Appalachian Trail!  We will be continuing our section hike of the AT starting at Clingman’s Dome in the Smoky Mountain National park and will continue to the parks north eastern border.  Enjoy a unique backcountry experience on the trail, meet new friends and experience breath-taking mountain views in North Carolina.  All equipment provided and no previous experience required.
