WKU was awarded the Operation P.R.I.D.E. Chairman's Award on Sept. 16th for contributions to the Bowling Green roundabout project at U.S. 31-W/Nashville Road and University Boulevard. WKU Chief Facilities Officer Bryan Russell accepted the award. Operation P.R.I.D.E. is a local non-profit organization dedicated to recognizing enhancements and innovation in our community.

WKU President Dr. Gary A. Ransdell was among the passengers chosen to ride during the transport of a T-38 Talon from the Bowling Green Regional Airport to the Bowling Green Aviation Heritage Park on Sept. 21. The T-38 was the training jet used by WKU graduate and astronaut Terry Wilcutt and others trained for U.S. space exploration.
