English Proficiency Requirements
All applicants from non-English speaking countries are required to show English proficiency via one of the methods listed below. It is the applicant's responsibility to assure the results are reported to the university by the required deadlines.
Students must also submit TOEFL/IELTS official score reports:
- TOEFL score of 71 (Internet-based test)
- IELTS score of 6.0
- SAT = Critical Reading Score of 450 (Tests taken prior to March 2016)
- SAT= Evidence Based Reading and Writing Score of 460 (Tests taken during and after March 2016)
- Pearson PTE Academic score of 52
Students can also prove English proficiency by completing ESLi or ELS Level 109.
If you do not meet these requirements, you may still be eligible for our Pathway Program.
Please Note: The undergraduate Nursing program requires a higher English proficiency than other programs. Please visit the WKU School of Nursing website to learn what is required.
