Distinguished Minority Fellows (DMF) Program
The DMF program is designed to help minority students attain graduate degrees by providing tuition as well as employment opportunities. Applications are accepted once annually in the spring for admission for the following fall semester.

Educational Opportunity Centers (EOC)
EOC is a TRiO program that provides counseling and information on college admissions to low income and first-generation adults, age 19 or older, who desire to enter, reenter, or continue a program of post-secondary education. An important objective of the program is to counsel participants on financial aid options, including basic financial planning skills, and to assist in the application process.

Military Student Services
Military Student Services acts as a hub of information and assistance to veterans, military students, and their dependents attending WKU. They offer textbooks through the Textbooks for Troops program, assistance with GoArmyEd, and other tuition assistance. They also offer time with WKU’s therapy dog.

Undergraduates who meet federal income and first-generation guidelines are eligible for services such as tutoring, advising, transition counseling, graduation planning, and more. SSS students also benefit from priority registration and financial assistance.

Veterans Upward Bound (VUB)
VUB is a free educational program that helps low-income veterans and veterans who are first-generation college students get admitted to colleges and vocational schools. VUB also offers students support services, including academic advising, financial aid counseling, help with getting GI Bill benefits, and help with filling out school admissions applications, scholarships, gas stipends, and more.

Child Care Centers operates a combination Early Head Start, Head Start, and nonprofit child care program for children six-weeks to five-years old and is open to university and community members. No fee is charged for half-day Head Start or Early Head Start services.

WKU created the Emergency Preparedness website to be a place where students, faculty, staff, and the community can visit to find resources related to campus safety, security, emergency preparedness and more. Office of Student Conduct
Established to ensure that disruptions to the university community are handled in an educational, fair, and dignified manner, the Office of Student Conduct provides resources to identify and report harassment and discrimination against any student. Safe Spaces
WKU Diversity and Community studies offers a list of designated Safe Spaces where students can relax and be able to fully express themselves, without fear of being made to feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, or unsafe on account of biological sex, race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, cultural background, religious affiliation, age, or physical or mental ability.

Student Escort Service (The Escort)
The Escort is an on-campus service provided for the protection of students, faculty, staff, and visitors of WKU. Individuals are urged not to walk alone and to practice personal security precautions, especially during evening/early morning hours. When an escort is requested, every effort is made to accommodate the request. Escorts will be provided from dusk until dawn.

Black Leaders Advocating for the Community (BLAC)
BLAC is a network of representatives from different areas of the community, including churches, sororities, fraternities, civic groups, nonprofits, and educational institutions. Neighborhood & Community Services Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) Program
The Section 8 Program is a federally funded program that operates within the city limits of Bowling Green. The primary goal of the Section 8 program is rental assistance to persons of very low income, allowing them to rent existing permanent market housing that is decent, safe, and sanitary. Individual subsidy is calculated using household income.

GO BG Transit
GO BG Transit provides fixed-route bus service in the city of Bowling Green. All buses are ADA accessible, and ADA Complementary Paratransit service is available to eligible persons who complete the evaluation process. Student passes are $50 a semester.
