All active faculty, staff and students are issued a NetID. The NetID and password are used to login to most major WKU computer systems and services including Blackboard, TopNet, WKU Portal, Email, Computer Labs, and WKU Wireless to name a few.
Faculty and Staff receive their NetID upon entry to the Banner Human Resources System after being hired. Students receive their NetID upon admission to WKU.
It is important that you manage and protect your NetID and password. Your NetID password will expire periodically (every 180 days) and you will be required to pick a new password. Do not share your NetID or password with anyone and report it immediately to the IT Helpdesk @ (270) 745-7000 if you suspect your NetID or password has been compromised. Security is everyone's responsibility.
