Access Exchange Email from Off-Campus

Once you have been migrated to Exchange, there are several ways you can access your email account from off campus. The first way is through the new Outlook Web Access (OWA) client, which is accessible through an internet browser. OWA is most functional and best-suited for use in Internet Explorer 7 or higher. If you access OWA from another browser, such as Firefox or Safari, you will use the "light" version of OWA, which reduces some but not all of the functionality. If you use an email program from off campus (Ex: Apple Mail, Thunderbird, etc.) you will need to configure that program with the following settings:

Email Address:
Type of Server Connection:  IMAP
Username:  Your NetID (ex: abc12345)
Incoming Server:  (use SSL port 993)
Outgoing Server:  (use TLS port 587)
