Setup Single Sign-On (SSO)

A very useful feature of the WKU Portal is single sign-on.  With single sign on, the web resources that you use, such as Webmail, Blackboard, or Banner will have their passwords remembered as long as you access them from the Portal.  Because of this feature, you no longer have to worry about multiple passwords being saved on multiple machines because they are all saved to one application and the only password you will have to know is your Portal password.

** NOTE:  Should your password change for any application, you will be prompted to enter it in the Portal so it can remember the new one. **

How to Configure SSO
  1. Login to the Portal
  2. Click the Student Academics tab if you are a student.  Click the Employees tab if you are faculty/staff.
  3. Select your applications from the Dashboard.
  4. If you haven't accessed something from the dashboard you will be prompted to enter your password. Once you have entered your password, click Save Account Info and your password will now be a part of the Portal's single sign on feature.  You will now only need to enter your portal password and Net ID at the portal login page and your passwords will be saved there.  Your saved passwords will remain the same as long as they do not change (email password reset, topnet password reset, etc)
