Have you completed the EMT Basic and EMT Paramedic programs?

- You will receive 40 hours block credit upon completion of all required course work with proof of current National Registry Certification prior to completing degree requirements.
- You must complete 25 additional credit hours, 16 of which must be earned at Western Kentucky University.
- You may transfer 9 credit hours from another university with approval of your advisor.

|ENG 100||Intro to College Writing||Minimum score of 16 on English section of ACT or successful completion of ENG 055||A course in effective college-level writing. Special emphasis on a variety of writing situations and effective ways of developing, organizing, revising and editing. Also introduces research skills.|
|SOCL 100||Intro to Sociology||None||Introduction to the basic concepts of society and culture, group behavior, population, class, minorities, community, social institutions and social changes|
|PSY 100||Intro to Psychology||None||An introductory course dealing with principles of behavior, scientific methods of psychology, measurement, learning, perception, motivation, development, personality, abnormal behavior, social behavior, intelligence, and other topics|

|BIO 131||Anatomy & Physiology||None||A basic anatomy and physiology course designed for students in physical education, home economics and health science careers. Emphasis is placed upon the concept of homeostasis and relationship of structure and function. Lecture: three hours; laboratory: two hours.|
|HED 247||Contemporary Healthcare Issues||ENG 100||Prerequisites: ENGL 100C, sophomore standing. An introductory course addressing contemporary issues confronting the healthcare delivery system, patients, and medical professionals in American society.|
