Grades K - 8

Self-Guided Tour - If you have teachers or adult chaperons who are Western graduates, consider organizing and leading students on your own campus tour. Below is an easy to follow printable script with photos, as well as a map for an approximate one hour walking tour of campus.

 

A. Print out copies of the script and map for all teachers and chaperons. PDF Script       PDF Map   *Helpful mobile device tools for self-guided class tours include WKU Virtual Tour and IWKU.

B. Please contact Parking & Transportation at 270-745-2361 to schedule bus parking. This ensures there is bus parking available on the day you plan to visit.

C. Lunch on campus - Weather permitting some groups bring sack lunches, plastic tablecloths, trash bags and eat picnic style on the grass of South Lawn, across from the football stadium. Some school groups choose to eat on campus with a variety of restaurants and food choices. Arrangements for lunch purchased on campus for your group may be made by contacting WKU Restaurant & Catering Group at 270-745-2416

  
Day at WKU/ KY Museum Field Trip - Students will go on a guided walking tour of the WKU Campus by Kentucky Museum Staff in the morning, eat lunch on campus and then go on a guided tour of a variety of Kentucky Museum exhibits. Go to Day @ WKU for reservation request,  cost per student, sample itinerary and more information.

 

Groups may also contact the WKU Office of Admissions at 270-745-2551 to discuss the availability of guided campus tours offered by Admissions staff.
