Bio
Tammera Race has been a member of the Department of Library Technical Services since August 2010. As Science & Technology Catalog Librarian, she is responsible for original cataloging and complex copy cataloging of materials in a variety of formats in technology, natural sciences, computer science, library science and some foreign languages. Her duties also include shared responsibilities for maintenance of the authority file, revising member copy, and special projects as needed.
Tammera’s professional interests include organization of and access to gray literature in the sciences, the role of serendipity in information discovery, and campus reading initiatives. Her current research project focuses on a local historical figure, Sadie Price, a nineteenth century woman botanist/naturalist.
