Research
Dr. Civelek’s areas of expertise are manufacturing and service operations management, queueing theory, simulation and revenue management. He applies queueing theory, simulation and stochastic optimization to examine decision-making by individuals and organizations in problems motivated by various industry applications. Dr. Civelek has taught numerous undergraduate and MBA courses at Carnegie Mellon University and Northwestern University such as Production and Operations Management, Statistics, Simulation, Quality Control and Operations Research.
