Andrea Wellkamp
Andrea Wellkamp was selected as Gordon Ford Scholar at the Fall 2011 Commencement Ceremonies. This prestigious honor is given to only one student per college and recognizes the meritorious performance. Here is what she has to say about her major.
"My experience with the International Business Program at WKU has been amazing. It has challenged me to think outside of my community and self to realize the implications of my actions on a global scale. This major allowed me to study abroad, develop a solid foundation of business knowledge, and further my foreign language skills. I have been lucky to have international students in nearly all of my classes, which has made me comfortable in communicating with individuals from diverse backgrounds. My major in International Business has allowed me to truly experience and understand an "international reach" both inside and outside of the classroom. I feel fully prepared to be a global citizen and business leader as a result of WKU's outstanding International Business Program."
