Research
Dr. Phillips Melancon’s teaching areas include consumer behavior, integrated marketing communications, and marketing research. She has also taught advertising and basic marketing principles. Her primary research interests include loyalty program effectiveness and non-traditional advertising media. Her research has been published in The Journal of Retailing, Journal of Advertising, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Consumer Marketing and the Journal of Services Marketing.

Dr. Melancon worked in Sales for Kawasaki Motors Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia prior to starting her doctoral program. She is a member of the American Marketing Association and the Atlantic Marketing Association and serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Services Marketing.
