Tian Tian earned her M.A at Northeast Normal University with a major in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages. She has a background in Chinese language, language pedagogy, and second language acquisition and expertise in integrating core content into Chinese instruction. She is a very active teacher and is always passionate about teaching by implementing a variety of teaching strategies. She is from the Hanban program, and is familiar with aspects of Chinese culture like the Beijing opera, Tai-chi fan kongfu, and tea ceremony. Her research interests include pedagogy and the evaluation of online language learning.

Teaching Philosophy

It is her goal to work hard to incorporate the best practices into the classroom and to create interactive and engaging activities to help students use the target language to communicate with native speakers of Chinese and to become more proficient learners of Chinese.
